England bring herculean task for Fabio Capello with John Terry’s termination

This is perhaps the first bout of concern soccer lovers all across the globe would be dealing with. And it is not only the fans who would be speculating on a favorable replacement for John Terry, who was stripped of England captaincy on allegation of racial abuse, but also coach Fabio Capello who would be up with that mammoth task of actually transforming the probables from paper to ground.

Terry’s forced exit from the national team was spearheaded by FA, and the decision came at a time when England is set to take the challenge in upcoming European Championship.

Capello, who had backed Terry in a previous debacle of termination from the national team, now has no other option but to search for captaincy hope in stars players like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Scott Parker.

And to add salt to the injury, Capello has an absolute ‘no, no’ from ex-skipper, Rio Ferdinand. The Man U defender has turned down any probability of leading England, before or after Euro 2012.

Meanwhile reports on John Terry’s losing the armband are screeching about the rage of his teammates who desperately wanted him to be kicked out.

Anton Ferdinand who has been the victim of Terry’s racism actually set the ball rolling. The beleaguered ex-England captain would face a legal trail on July 9 for allegedly taking the racism attack on Ferdinand. And it is the same act of disgrace from Terry that prompted FA to show him the exit door.

Along with Ferdinand, other players who encountered a similar racism issue with former skipper include Leroy Rosenior, Jason Roberts and Emmanuel Frimpong. And in a bid to pursue justice for the wrongdoings meted on them all the footballers decided to speak out against him.

It seems Terry has a bumpy journey ahead, in fact far more jarring than he had actually thought. It wouldn’t surprise many, if the Chelsea captain decides to hang his boots up.

Let’s wait to see if Capello finishes his task of bringing a right replacement for Terry first or the disgraced footballer quits the international arena before that.
