Bruno Mars dismissed from the court

The reports about the felony committed by the much loved singer and pop star last year had left the media abuzz and fans in distraught.

But the celeb has freed himself of the allegations recently. The star has been cleared of his charges of cocaine possession in Las Vegas on January 18, 2012. 

The 26 year old star is a singer and a song writer with a Filipino and Puerto Rican descent. He has won not only the hearts of his audience but also several awards and commendation which makes him one of the most loved stars of the music world.

He was caught in the case on the night of his performance at the Hard Rock Hotel &Casino in Las Vegas. He accepted that he had 2.6 grams of cocaine which he was arrested with in the bathroom of the hotel.

Mars could have been slapped with four years of jail imprisonment in the state prison but the seeking redemption from his guilt he managed to meet more than what was required of him.

The dismissal from the judge was very earnestly earned by Mars as he fulfilled all the penalties and more. He went beyond the obligatory.  Instead of four years of imprisonment he paid the fine of $2000 as fined by the judge. He was also asked to carry out community charity services for 200 hours along with stipulated time of eight hours of drug counseling.

Mars diligently performed his services in Los Angeles and Minneapolis. His community services included some videos, concerts for the charities working with children and wellbeing and health organizations. He also spent time for anti-bullying campaign and utilized the chance he got to indulge in charity services and did even more.

The star had pleaded guilty last year in February but got disappointment in return as the judge postponed the acceptance of plea.  But finally the good-riddance-of-bad-things have come to the star with a lesson learnt hard way.
