The ultimate thrilling point of Australian Open has just arrived. The queen of tennis and Wimbledon winner Maria Sharapova will now face one of the burgeoning champions of the tennis, Petra Kvitová, in the semifinals of Australian Open.
The two tennis pros reached semis with thumping victories, and it is assured that both would give their best to seal the ticket for the final.
Sharapova had won Australian Open on Hard surface against Ana Ivanovi in 2008. But in 2011, she was beaten by her Petra Kvitová by the tough score of 6-3 and 6-4. And interestingly it is the same nemesis for the Russian sensation at this year’s semis.

The star of tennis world Martina Navratilova expressed her faith in Kvitová to become into a big name amongst women champions to a popular sports channel. Keeping a close eye on the game, Navratilova believes that she could become a No1 player easily.
